Winburn Dress Code

Tops, shirts, blouses:
must have sleeves
and turned-down collars
OR
Turtleneck sweaters

Vests are optional and must conform to color and fabric guidelines.

Undershirts must be dress code colors.

Shirts: White, Light blue navy-blue, or orange
Note: Shirts may NOT be aqua, teal or turquoise.

T-necks: Solid single color (see above colors)

Vests: no contrasting trim

Undershirts: no words, messages, symbols or pictures. Undershirts must be in dress code shirt colors.

Logos must be smaller than one square inch

  • Fits the wearer's chest size
  • covers and conceals body and undergarments
  • closures to be open no lower than four inches from throat
  • Sleeve length: short, 3/4, or long
  • Shirttails must remain securely tucked into bottoms at all times

(if shirt comes untucked when arms are raised or when bending to touch toes, it is too short)

 

  • Woven or knit
  • No hooded tops or outerwear (fleece or otherwise) may be worn in the building
  • No top may be tied around the waist or shoulders or sleeves worn over arms

Sweaters and sweatshirts are optional and may be collarless, crew, or V-neck, pullover or cardigan.  They must be worn over a collared top but may be worn outside of bottoms.

Bottoms:
Pants, skirts, shorts, skorts, bib overalls, and capri's may be worn.  Belts are required on ALL bottoms that are made with belt loops (loops are not to be cut off to avoid wearing a belt). Overalls do not have to have belts even if they have belt loops. Elastic waistbands are acceptable.
Bottom colors: Khaki, tan,
navy-blue, orange

Bottoms must be a solid single color

Bottoms must have NO contrasting trim or stripes

Bottoms:
  • Closures to be fastened
  • to fit and be worn at wearer's natural waistline (within 3" of navel)
  • To cover and conceal body and undergarments
  • Pant length - about shoe heels, not dragging the ground
  • Skirt/skort/capri/shorts length - below wearer's fingertips
     
  • Woven only (no spandex, pleather, leather, nylon or vinyl)
  • Natural/synthetic fabrics/blends (twill, gabardine, duck/canvas, corduroy)
  • No blue-jean denim or knit fabrics
  • no elastic, snaps, laces, or zippers at hems or side seams
  • No mesh or see through fabrics
  • No excessively tight or baggy bottoms
Belts:
Are required for ALL bottoms made with belt loops with the exception of overalls made with belt loops (loops are not to be cut off to avoid wearing a belt).
  Belts:
  • Fit the wearer's natural waist size and be buckled / fastened all the time
  • To be worn inside the belt loops
  • No more than 8 inches longer than buckle closure
Belt Materials:
  • Leather, synthetic, cotton, etc.
  • No distracting or dangerous belts

Shoes: No flop flops, house slippers, gel/plastic shoes will be allowed.

Accessories: Jewelry is limited to watches, rings, necklaces and bracelets which are non-distracting and safe. Items to be stored in lockers upon arrival and for the entire day include: all outerwear, hoodies, all headware, sunglasses, picks, bandannas, all backpacks and bags.

*The principals shall have final discretion in the enforcement and interpretation of the dress code. They also have authority to relax the dress code requirements on given days.
