  GO MATH TEAM!!!

  They solved 3,200 Math Problems in less than 6 hours!!!

  

  Last weekend, on Saturday, October 24, sixteen Winburn Mathletes participated in a 6-hour Math-A-Thon at Winburn Middle School!! Principal Tina Stevenson had challenged the Math Team with a goal of 3000 problems worked correctly and they succeeded!! (They actually surpassed the goal by more than 200!) Students worked individually, in pairs, and on teams learning new techniques and perfecting old skills. Students helped teach each other on worksheets and challenged each other on 1-on-1 matches winning candy treats. Parent volunteers helped make the day successful bringing food for snacks and lunch as well as helping grade problems from the Math-A-Thon.

  Congratulations to the JV and Varsity Academic Teams on their victories over St. Peter and Paul.  Both teams remain undefeated on the season.

Congratulations to the Winburn Warriors Football Team!

 In support of our football team winning the city championship, all students have earned a dress down day.

 Remember the guidelines for appropriate attire on a dress down day:

·     No Jerseys

·     No Muscle Shirts/Tank Tops

·     No See-Through Shirts

·     No V-Neck Cut Shirts

·     No Spaghetti Straps

·     No Sagging Pants

·     No Pajama/Flannel Pants

·     Shorts/Skirts Must Be Dress Code Length

·     No House Shoes

NO HOODIES!

Homework Expectations:
Students will have homework throughout the school year. The expectation is that homework will be completed at home and returned the next day during class.  Parents can keep up with the student's homework through the agenda and the homework hotline (381-3972).
