TRACK
Congratulations to the Boys and Girls Track Teams are their
recent season. In the Fayette County Middle School
Championships the Boys placed 2nd overall and the Girls
placed 4th overall.
Congratulations to both teams and all of the coaches!
MATH COUNTS-STATE RUNNER UP!!!

The Winburn Middle School Math
team placed 2nd in the State MathCounts competition.

Valerie Sarge-7th Grade-Bevans
Scholar-received a full scholarship to the
Duke TIP’s Center for
Summer Studies. During the three-week residential session, she
can take one course of her choice, which usually covers the
equivalent of a full year of high school material.
Several 7th grade students who participated in the latest Duke
University talent search have qualified for state recognition or
grand recognition, based on their scores on the SAT reasoning
test or the ACT assessment college entrance exam. They are
as follows:

Homework Expectations:
Students will have homework throughout the school year. The
expectation is that homework will be completed at home and
returned the next day during class. Parents can keep up with
the student's homework through the agenda and the homework
hotline (381-3972).
