days missed due to winter weather. (Snow days were January 7 and
8, 2010.)
Please take note:
February 12 and March 5
WILL
now be school days. The original calendar called for students
to be off on those days, but designated them as “possible
weather make-up days.”
Students and staff will be in school on February
12 and March 5.
Please adjust your school calendar accordingly.
¡Cambio en el Calendario!
¡Vigente Inmediatamente!
A partir de enero 12, 2010, los estudiantes en
Fayette County Public Schools tienen que recuperar dos días de
clases perdidos debido a mal tiempo. (Estos días debido a nieve
fueron enero 7 y 8, 2010.)
Por favor anote:
Febrero 12 y Marzo 5

días de clase. De acuerdo al calendario escolar original los
estudiantes no iban a tener clases esos días, pero se habían
designado como “posibles días para recuperar clases.”

GO MATH TEAM!!!
They solved 3,200 Math Problems in less than 6
hours!!

Math Team In Action

Mrs. Stevenson Fulfilled Her Promise to the Math Team for
completing the challenge.
On Saturday, October 24, sixteen Winburn Mathletes
participated in a 6-hour Math-A-Thon at Winburn Middle School!!
Principal Tina Stevenson had challenged the Math Team with a
goal of 3000 problems worked correctly and they succeeded!!
(They actually surpassed the goal by more than 200!) Students
worked individually, in pairs, and on teams learning new
techniques and perfecting old skills. Students helped teach each
other on worksheets and challenged each other on 1-on-1 matches
winning candy treats. Parent volunteers helped make the day
successful bringing food for snacks and lunch as well as helping
grade problems from the Math-A-Thon.
